Commissioner's Rankings 2024

I have 13 minutes to get this written and published in order to keep the four day streak alive. Speed run!

Injury Report:

Nothing to speak of that I can see so let's get updates on Aiyuk and CeeDee.

Aiyuk - Reports came out he talked to the coaching staff about re-signing on Friday, but then Aiyuk himself said that's not true. Can we just figure this out already.

Lamb - Did we already talk about him saying "lol" to Jerry Jones comments about not having urgency to re-sign him? Not looking good for Lamb or Dak owners.

Steal of the Draft:

Nominees:

Diontae Johnson at pick 103 (Cord)

Jerome Ford at pick 105 (Austin)

Curtis Samuel at pick 166 (Rusty)

Rhamondre Stevenson at pick 73 (Bruce)

There may be more steals but these are the four that stuck out quickly. I'm going to go with Rhamondre Stevenson. He was draft as RB28. There are definitely not 27 RBs better than Stevenson. I'm guessing he finishes in the top 18 RBs.

Number 9 - Austin

Starts off the draft strong with JT. He really could have taken any of the three RBs left in the 1st round and I would be okay with it, but Chase dropping to 12 is crazy. More on that another day.

Then it falls apart. Laporta in the second is gross. Don't get me wrong, so it Kelce. I just think taking TE so early left holes in the rest of the team.

We'll finish out RB. James Cook was a minor steal at that pick. I had been mocking him in the second round, so getting him two rounds later is wild. Jerome Ford will be a good flex play until Chubb gets back. Trey Benson isn't getting very great praise out of camp and finally Davis is a fine handcuff to Cook. RB should be good if he can find someone before Chubb comes back for a late season run.

QBs are good. The fantasy community is much higher on Love that me and I would have taken Burrow or Kyler above him, but if everyone beleives in him, he must be doing something right.

Finally the big glaring hole, WR. He took TE in the second which left him with the 3rd tier WRs to choose from. He took London and Pickens, who both scare me. London hasn't done it yet, but you can also say he hasn't had a QB yet or a good coach scheme. Speaking of bad coach schemes. Guess where London's old head coach went? Pittsburgh to ruin Pickens chances of doing anything. Maybe Reed will step up and become a true WR 1 this.... Fuck I'm out of time.

Bold Prediction: London and Pickens both finish outside the top 24 WRs. LaPorta finishes as the TE3 or worse.
