Week 2 Preview

What a week one guys. Basically everyone looked like they hadn't played football in 9 months, so it's really difficult to know what to expect moving forward. Let's take a look at the Waiver Report and Power Rankings before we get into the Game of the Week.

Waiver Report

There were two big ones this week: Jordan Mason and Isaiah Likely.

Jordan Mason - $128 Brady

Okay, maybe this seemed crazy at first on Wednesday. $128 for a guy that may or may not start this weekend? Maybe I am crazy, but CMC is known for being injury prone. He has also been dealing with this injury since last season. The NFL doesn't fuck with achiles injuries (Rodgers, Cousins), so I don't see how CMC comes back even in 4 weeks. This could end up being a season ender, which would make Mason worth every single dollar.

Isaiah Likely - $53 Bruce

This one is a little weirder. Bruce already has McBride who looked great last week. He's spending a quarter of his FAAB on a backup TE. I have no problem with anyone spending that on Likely after having that kind of game last week, but spending that on a backup is tough. If Bruce was a trader I would like the move more.

Power Rankings

Dom from out of nowhere to become the favorite after week 1. Chris getting blown out drops him to last place just as quickly.  We'll get more in depth with these next week after we've gotten a couple of weeks under our belt.

Week 2 Games of the Week

Rusty (0-1) vs Clint (0-1)

I know this article is a little late, but we all knew this was the game of the week didn't we? Our only 0-1 vs 0-1 game plus the most prestigious rivalry game in Thumper history. The amount of trash talk we've gotten between these two this week was just a lot to take in.

Rusty just had a tough week 1 overall. Basically every player on his team other than Conner looked terrible in week 1. Rice had a nice day, but it wasn't anything crazy. It definitely didn't make up for St. Brown's terrible game.

Clint also failed to break 100 points in week 1. Richardson and Robinson had days, but everyone else was just kind of okay. Below their expectations at least.

If you had asked me Sunday morning who would win this, I would say Clint easy after Tua only put up 12 points Thursday night. Well, as of right now, Richardson has negative points. This game is going to come down to the RBs as the second half of these early games begin. I personally just trust Clint's RB's more, so I'm giving him the edge and the bucket this year.

Commissioner's Pick: Clint (Record 1-0)
