Last week we talked about best and worst pickups. This week let's look at the few, I mean very few, trades that have been made this year. Don't forget the trade deadline is coming up in two weeks.
Wait! Last week I finished the pickups discussion congratulating you all on the Rachaad White sweepstakes, but somehow no one outbid me at $12. That's wild, but congrats to me!
Trade 1:
Logan received Keenan Allen.
rusty received Darrell Henderson.
Verdict - Meh. I guess Logan won even though Keenan Allen hasn't played a game since this trade was made week 2. If Logan gets two games out of Allen then he wins. Rusty only got one game out of Henderson.
Trade 2:
Brady received $10 faab.
Rusty received Hayden Hurst.
Verdict - I'll take the $10 faab over Hurst who did nothing the week Rusty needed him.
Trade 3:
Brady received Jeff Wilson Jr.
Logan received Kadarius Toney.
Verdict - So far I think I've won this trade, but the stars are aligning for Toney to breakout in KC. We'll see what happens going forward.
Trade 4:
Dom received Dak, DJ Moore, and Metcalf.
Bryan received Jonathon Taylor, Deon Jackson, and Michael Pittman.
Verdict - At the time it looked like Dom got the better end. Now it looks like maybe Bryan getting JT was the decision maker here but.....
Trade 5:
Larry received JT, Deon Jackson, Chris Godwin, George Kittle.
Bryan received Najee Harris, Davante Adams, Jakobi Meyers.
Verdict - This one is a lot closer than I thought at first glance. Bryan didn't need Kittle at all but Larry really needed him. Godwin was doing nothing but if the Bucs offense picks up then it's possible he's equal to Adams. JT is looking like he could be closer to the 1.01 than the RB40 or whatever he was most of the season.
Najee? I don't know what to say about him. He's top 3 biggest bust on the year. Adams is a beast but with the dwindling offensive weapons in Vegas, more teams will be able to double team him. Meyers is a consistent WR2/ Flex play.
I'll give it to Larry by the smallest of margins.
Trade 6:
Larry received Joe Burrow plus $10 faab.
Bryan received Justin Herbert.
Verdict - Larry won easily, but Herbert's season could turn around when Williams and Allen get back.
Trade 7:
Brady received Greg Dulcich.
Bryan received Joshua Palmer.
Verdict - Both guys sucked the week we needed them. It was a wash.
Week 11 Game of the Week:
New World Order (Bryan) vs Bad JuJu (Rusty)
Last week's game had major implications on Weatherford's first round bye. This week's has the same implications on the Watonga division. Both Bryan and Rusty are two games back of the leader with just four weeks of the season left.
Bryan has been in this game enough. We know his team. Chubb, Kelce, Adams. That's literally all you need to know about Bryan's squad.
Let's take a deep dive on Rusty's team. He finished last week a lot like he finished week 1:
Week 1 Injuries - Elijah Mitchell, Keenan Allen
Week 2 Injuries - Cooper Kupp, JuJu Smith-Schuster
With those injuries, plus the byes he has this week, I'm setting the spread at Rusty +65.
Commissioner's Pick: New World Order - Bryan (Commissioner's Record 9-3)
