Week 3 Preview

The story of the week is injuries, again, but we'll get to that later. Let's take a look at those 0-2 teams:

Chris:

Why is he 0-2? Bad luck. Last week he was the third highest scorer. This week his entire team showed up other than Watson. If he started Wilson he would have won.

Will he turn it around? Yeah, he just needs a QB and TE that can score more than 10 points combined.

Logan:

Why is he 0-2? Week 1 he played the highest scorer and this week he played the second highest scorer. The scariest thing about his team is losing Ekeler and Aaron Jones. He was lucky to grab Kelley, but Kelley looked terrible this week.

Will he turn it around? It kind of hinges on those RBs' status. The coach came out today and said Ekeler has no time table to return. If both of those guys can play and the rest of his team steps up, Logan should be in the playoffs.

Bryan:

Why is he 0-2? Last week his entire team was a letdown other than Aiyuk. this week was better, but you could still make an argument that everyone other than Allen and Moss was a letdown.

Will he turn it around? Let's see where he spends this FAAB. It doesn't look like anyone is trading a stud RB for any of these QBs on the bench, so he'll have to spend up for some of these guys on waivers.

Austin:

Why is he 0-2? Third lowest score in week 1 and second lowest score in week 2. Drafted Fields who everyone knew was a bust before the draft. Also has the worst RB squad in the league. Or at least doesn't know when to start them...

Will he turn it around? He needs a couple of RBs and a QB. Not impossible to accomplish this early in the season.

Worst Coach of the Week

Nominees:

Chris for starting Watson over Wilson, causing him to lose the game.

Cord for starting Kmet over Andrews,. He still would have lost though.

Austin for starting Fields over Jones.

Your winner: Austin, but not for starting Fields over Jones. It's for not taking any of my Mostert trades which would have lead to him getting a blowout victory this week.

Biggest Busts

There were plenty, but let's just look at the ones that cost you all games.

QB - Trevor Lawrence - Dom still wont the game, but man Lawrence looked terrible.

RB - Breece Hall - Austin should have been so excited after last week. That excitement should be gone after Hall scored .9 points this week.

WR - Calvin Ridley - People were ranking him as the fourth best WRs in the league after week 1. He ended up scoring 4.2 points and costing Cord the week.

TE - George Kittle - He wasn't the lowest scoring, but man is he underwhelming this year so far. 7.9 total points on the season. That's very few points for a lot of draft capital that Bruce spent.

Kicker/ Defense - Giants - Only Defense or Kicker to score negative points so had to be the most hyped team on all the podcasts this week.

In Memoriam

Nick Chubb, Saquon Barkley and Austin Ekeler?, Justin Fields

Week 1 - Aaron Rodgers, JK Dobbins, Jets Wide Receivers

We'll get to power rankings after Week 3...

Week 3 Games of the Week:

Aron (2-0) vs Bruce (2-0)

We went over the four teams that haven't won a game yet, but how about two of the teams that haven't lost a game yet?

Aron

Why is he going undefeated? Oof... Sorry bud. It would take a hell of a miracle with those RBs.

Bruce

Why is he going undefeated? Purdy becomes the next Tom Brady. Gibbs becomes the next Austin Ekeler. Either Mattison steps up like Cook before him or Akers gets traded and has a career resurgence. Kupp comes back to be the best WR in the league. The rest of the team looks pretty good.

But what matters is who wins this week. ESPN has them at 50/50, projected to each score 110/111 points.

I'm taking Bruce. Burrow may sit so Chase could have a bad game and Aron needs Chase to have a big game to win this matchup.

Commissioner's Pick (1-0): Bruce
