Week 5 Preview
No injuries. No breakout players to waste a ton of FAAB on. Honestly nothing interesting to discuss aside from Austin beating Bryan. So what do we talk about to open the preview? Let's just take a break this week.
Update on Winless Team
With Austin's big upset win over Bryan, we are down to our lone winless team...
Logan:
Why is he 0-4? It continues to be injuries and underperforming. Logan had a great opportunity to beat the 4-0 Aron last week, but his team did not show up. Pacheco and Aubrey put up great numbers, Dak was pretty good, but everyone else was bad. Time is running out for Logan. He's gotta start making a run with a win this week.
Will he turn it around? He has the pieces to go 9-0 to finish out the season. He just needs them to get healthy and all be on the same page each week. I still like Logan's team better than more than half the teams in the league this year.
Worst Coach of the Week
Nominees:
Bryan spending $69 on Josh Palmer.
Bruce spending $46 on Elijah Moore.
Aron not starting David Montgomery.
Your winner: This must have been the least newsworthy week ever. None of these picks are good. No one lost a game due to starting the wrong player. I'm just going to give it to Bruce. I trust Palmer to score more points rest of year than I trust Moore.
Biggest Busts
QB - Patrick Mahomes - This may be the only time we can ever put him here.18.22 is maybe the lowest amount of points I've ever seen Mahomes score. Nothing to worry about for Kevin.
RB - Aaron Jones - Second week in a row Logan's RB has won the award. Packers looked lost against the Lions.
WR - Chris Olave - There were a lot of nominees this week (Deebo, Higgins, Adams), but Olave was the healthiest of them all. He just sucked. Definitely didn't help Rusty with his blow out loss.
TE - George Kittle - I thought Waller had this wrapped up, but then I saw Kittle's statline. Yikes. What's going on in SanFran this year? Not the production Bruce was expecting out of such an early TE pick.
Kicker/ Defense - Steelers - Negative points. Once again, that's all it takes.
In Memoriam
Week 4 - Logan's Playoff Hopes?
Week 3 - Mike Williams, Joshua Kelley
Week 2 - Nick Chubb, Justin Fields
Week 1 - Aaron Rodgers, JK Dobbins, Jets Wide Receivers
Week 3 Bets
Brady vs Rusty, (Double or Nothing) Brady gets a second round of golf if he wins - Winner: Brady
Bryan vs Austin, Winner gets a 6-pack of beer - Winner: Austin
Week 5 Games of the Week:
Brady (4-0) vs Dom (2-2)
I didn't want to put myself in here, but can't deny the top team in the power rankings vs the team that moved up the rankings 6 spots.
On Dom's side, Achane is the greatest RB to ever play the game of football, and he's about to run for 300 yards and 4 more TDs on the Giants. In order for the Giants to keep up, they'll need Barkley to do the same. Expect Dom's RBs to score upwards of 100 points together.
That would be a tough deficit to overcome for my squad who is missing the WR1 on the season, Keenan Allen. I don't think the WR2 Jefferson and my good, not great RB squad can overcome 100 points from two players.
Commissioner's Pick (4-0): Dom
