So much to talk about: trades, upsets, injuries, and Mid-Season Awards! Where do we start?

Trades:

I'm not just talking NFL trades. We had trades in the league this week finally.

Brady Gives - Kadarius Toney

Logan Gives - Jeff Wilson Jr

I honestly don't know why I offered this. Toney will probably be the next Tyreek Hill and Wilson will be the backup to Mostert. My thought process was Mostert's seasonal injury will happen sooner or later and Wilson will be an RB1 under the high powered Dolphins offense. Who knows?

Bryan Gives - DK Metcalf, DJ Moore, and Dak Prescott

Dom Gives - Jonathan Taylor, Michael Pittman, and Deon Jackson

This was a pretty even trade. Both teams got players in positions they desperately needed. It's hard to trade the 1.01, but I know that feeling of drafting a guy first overall and watching him be trash week after week. Here's hoping JT hits IR. Season ending IR.....

Hockenson to the Vikings - He may become an even better option at the TE position. Hopefully not this week though.

Jeff Wilson Jr to the Dolphins - Knows the scheme and Mostert gets injured every year. Could potentially take over the starting role.

Chase Claypool to the Bears - Fields has looked good lately and this should only help him. hopefully it also helps Pickens become the next big rookie breakout WR.

Nyheim Hines to Bills - I don't think this really does anything to anyone other than lower Singletary's value a little bit.

Injuries:

Cooper Kupp - Hurt ankle on a pointless play at the end of the Rams getting blown out. Fingers crossed he doesn't tweek it worse this week. Right Rusty?

Irv Smith - No one really cares about this one, but it lead to the Vikings trading for Hockenson.

Jonathon Taylor - Definitely out for the season.

Upsets:

Rusty upset Bruce, Austin upset Larry, and Aron upset Bryan. More on these later...

Let's get to power rankings:

With Bruce and my own loss this week, we both slip 2 positions each... We're done.

Congrats Bryan on your championship. I've never seen a better 4-4 team in my life.

Clint continues to move up the ranks. Remember just a few short weeks ago when he couldn't score points?

Austin and Dom, what you are doing? Chris started one less player than everyone else for two weeks and he's still ranked higher than you two.

Welcome to the first ever (I think? I don't remember.) Midseason Awards! What kind of awards are we giving? Nothing you really want to win.

Bust of the Year Nominees:

Jonathan Taylor (Drafted 1.01 - Currently Ranked RB33)

Najee Harris (Drafted 1.08 - Currently Ranked RB23)

D'andre Swift (Drafted 2.03 - Currently Ranked RB34)

Javonte Williams (Drafted 2.07 - Currently Ranked RB55)

Breece Hall (Drafted 3.10 - Currently Ranked RB10)

Winner - Javonte Williams

This easily could have gone to anyone listed above, but it's gotta go to Javonte for missing almost the entire season. Everyone else but Hall can fix their seasons and Hall had a much better season prior to being injured. Congrats Aron!

Worst Move of the Year Nominees:

Starting Michael Thomas Two Weeks in a Row While Out - Chris

Dropping Chris Godwin - Kevin

Dropping Kenneth Walker - Chris and Brady

Starting the Season 0-2 due to Bad Coaching Decisions - Austin

Spending $75 on Romeo Doubs - Brady

Winner - Dropping Kenneth Walker

This one hurts. Can you imagine having Barkley and Walker every week :(

Most Likely to Blow the Second Half of the Season Nominees:

Brady (6-2)

Rusty (5-3)

Bruce (5-3)

Aron (5-3)

Logan (5-3)

Bryan (4-4)

Winner - Rusty

This was a two horse race between Rusty and Aron. Rusty is just one WR injury away from missing the playoffs. If Kupp or Hill miss major time then he most likely loses 25 points a game. His RBs have overproduced this year and I don't see them keeping that up.

Golden Toilet Seat Nominees:

Everyone

Winner - Chris

As much as I wanted to give this to Austin, I decided on Chris this year. He lost MT to the IR today. Tom Brady is half the QB he was last year. Cook is great but his other RBs are either injured or average. Finally, Deebo has disapointed this year. Congrats Austin on not repeating in the Golden Toilet Bowl!

You asked for it! Time for the THREE Games of the Week!

Week 9 Game of the Week (#1):

Bad Juju (Rusty) vs Red Head Re-Population (Aron)

Two 5-3 teams trying to make a move at the #1 seed in their divisions. Aron has a full team available this week but has to start an injured Damien Harris and the Bears newly acquired WR Claypool.

While Rusty may not be starting three players (TE, defense and kicker) and has to start a bum like Allgeier at RB2, I can't help but think he will pull this out with his two WRs Kupp and Hill. This is my 100% Commissioner's Lock of the Week!

Commissioner’s Pick: Bad Juju - Rusty (Comm's Record 5-3)

Week 9 Game of the Week (#2):

Big Shrimpin (Clint) vs Ck CK (Chris)

Both teams need wins this week to stay in the playoff picture. Unfortunately for both, they are missing major players due to the byepocalypse.

Chris has to work around Deebo on bye. He'll be relying on a major week from Dalvin Cook and Terry McLaurin.

On the other side, Clint is missing his golden ticket CMC while also waiting to hear if Conner and Lazard play. Fortunately for him, he has Eno on his bench to fill in last second. He can drop Schultz if he needs a Lazard replacement. Man, I gotta do it again. Commissioner's Locked-and-Loaded Pick of the Week!

Commissioner's Pick: Big Shrimpin - Clint (Comm's Record 5-3)

Week 9 Game of the Week (#3):

New World Order (Bryan) vs The Fantasy Football Team (Bruce)

Battle of the Beasts, but no one is a bigger beast than Bryan! Nothing else needs to be said! This is my COMMISSIONER'S LOCK OF THE CENTURY!!!

Commissioner's Pick: New World Order - Bryan (Comm's Record 5-3)
